Zakir Hossain becomes the new Sector Manager for Sustainable Technologies

Zakir brings over 16 years of experience working across diverse laboratory environments, with a strong focus on translating scientific research into practical, commercial solutions. He is the author of more than 50 scientific publications and has successfully developed and delivered over 45 short industry projects for commercial applications.

In his new role, Zakir will be supporting SETsquared’s activities for GW-SHIFT - “I am looking forward to my role as GW-SHIFT Sector Manager, where I will support CR&D project development by strengthening collaboration between academia and industry. I am particularly excited to advance green hydrogen innovation that contributes to Net Zero and delivers clean energy impact across South West England and South Wales.”

Zakir’s extensive experience in industry engagement and a proven track record in leading business development initiatives will no doubt lead to success. We are thrilled to have Zakir on board and look forward to the expertise and innovation he will bring to SETsquared and GW-SHIFT.
